In September, the children enjoyed working with pipe cleaners, googly eyes, rocks and other small items with the play-dough. They often asked if they could save their creations but we found when the play-dough dried up, their creations would fall apart. We found a salt dough recipe that they could manipulate the same as the play-dough but when dried, they could paint it and it would stay together. A small group of children decided to create some "Creatures"; we have them on display in our classroom and will be sending them home this month.

The children love when we are outside to see garbage and recycle trucks. The workers will wave and talk with groups of students and educators that gather at the fence each week to watch them work. We are hoping to have them visit us this year. |
