Play-dough and Salt Dough creatures

The play dough that Mrs. Fanelli donated to our classroom was getting old and crumbly so we decided to make a new batch at school.  We decided to take away all the play-dough toys and simply use our hands and imagination. The children had a great time making many interesting things.

Our new Green Play Dough

At first we had them explore with just their hands.

Then we added ....

Pipe Cleaners, googly eyes and stones.

Coloured Popsicle Sticks

The children were so proud of their creations that they wanted to save them. The children decided if they did that, all the new play dough would dry up so we took lots of pictures.

Salt Dough Creatures

Later that week, some of the children were asking to make creatures they could take home, so we made some Salt Dough Creatures. We dried them over the long weekend and this week and we are hoping to paint them soon.
