Crazy Hair Day and Orange and Black Day

The students had a fun day on our "Crazy Hair" and "Orange and Black Day"! We were very excited to see so many children participate on the day.

We had purple hair!

Hair with lots of pony-tales.

In our playdough centre, Mrs. DeYoung recently brought in a playdough kitchen set. The students have made taco's, cookies, cake, hamburgers and a variety of other yummy treats. We decided to surprise them and go down to the kitchen and make apple crisp with them.

First, Mrs. Olafson pealed the apples while Mrs. DeYoung cored and sliced them.

Then the children cut the apples into small bite size pieces.

We mixed the apples with brown sugar and lemon juice.
Then we measured and mixed all the dry ingredients together.

After, all the dry ingredients and butter were mixed together and Mrs.Olafson poured it into the pan with the apples.

Most of the children tried the apple crisp.

They even asked for seconds.

Some students asked for thirds.
We are looking forward to cooking again soon!
